Bangladesh Summons Contract Ambassadors to Return Home

The Bangladeshi government has instructed seven envoys appointed on a contractual basis to return to the country immediately. The envoys, who were appointed by the previous Awami League government, have been asked to relinquish their current responsibilities and report to the headquarters in Dhaka.

The list of envoys includes Ambassador Mohammad Imran in Washington, Ambassador Kamrul Hasan in Russia, and others. Additionally, several other officials, including First Secretary Wahiduzzaman Noor and Counselor Arifa Rahman Ruma, have also been recalled.

The move is part of a major administrative reshuffle in Bangladesh following the formation of an interim government on August 8.
