Boston Dancer Michaela DePrince Passes Away at 29

Boston, US : Michaela DePrince, a talented dancer who inspired many with her passion and dedication, has sadly passed away at the age of 29. Born in Sierra Leone, Michaela survived a tough childhood and was adopted by an American family in New Jersey. She went on to become a dancer with the prestigious Boston Ballet, where she was known for her exceptional talent and commitment to promoting diversity in the arts.

Michaela’s goal was to make ballet more inclusive and representative of all people, regardless of their skin color. She believed that every person should have the opportunity to experience the beauty of dance, and she worked tirelessly to make that happen.

As the Executive Director of Boston Ballet, Ming Min Hui remembered Michaela as an advocate for ballet as a powerful force that can bring people together and inspire hope. “She was an unforgettable inspiration to everyone who knew her or heard her story,” Hui said.
